BESPOKE DIAMOND AND GEM SET JEWELLERY

Bespoke rings, bangles, earrings and necklaces make the perfect gift, especially for your wedding day, anniversary or birthday. I will design and create with you beautiful custom made pendants in white, yellow or red gold, or platinum, set with stunning diamonds, precious stones or a combination of the two in any shape or size.

As you work with me Ajay Shamji, you will be creating your unique piece with one of the most experienced and talented jewellery designers. Together we will go through a design experience to create a piece that no one else will ever have only you.

I can design your diamond jewellery to match an existing piece of jewellery, expand upon a design idea you have and offer you ideas of my own, and being bespoke you will even have the opportunity of having matching pieces designed and made for a future birthday or wedding anniversary.

The Four C’s

The 4Cs is the jewellery industry standard for assessing diamonds, Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat Weight are the key factors that determine the quality of a diamond. When I am selecting diamonds, I carefully consider all of these factors and plenty more besides to ensure the WOW factor when you glimpse the diamonds that I have personally chosen for you to see for the first time.

The colour of diamonds is all about what you can’t see. The value of diamonds is influenced by how closely they approach colourlessness – the less colour, the higher their value. (The exception to this is fancy colour diamonds, such as pinks yellows and blues as these lie outside this colour range.)

GIA is the industry standard for colour grading. The letter D, representing colourless and continues with increasing presence of colour through to the letter Z, or light yellow or brown. Each letter grade has a defined range of colour appearance. Diamonds are colour-graded under controlled lighting and precise viewing conditions.

Diamond carat weight is the measurement of how much a diamond weighs.

One carat equals 0.200 grams and carat weight alone does not determine the value of a diamond. Two stones of the same weight can vary widely in price because of quality differences.

When considering diamonds of equal quality, the larger stone will have considerably more value. Usually, a two-carat diamond will be more than twice as valuable as a one-carat stone.
